The surrounding archipelago features dramatic limestone peaks alongside hidden sandbars. Hire a boat to connect multiple islands in one exciting day trip. You will see everything from dense mangroves to pristine beaches.
This famous oceanic island sits 35 kilometres away. It attracts divers globally due to its incredible underwater walls. Sabah Parks restricts daily entry numbers tightly. We highly recommend securing your permits well in advance.
Tun Sakaran Marine Park hosts an incredible variety of underwater environments. Beginners can glide over shallow coral gardens safely. Advanced divers have plenty of steep drop-offs to navigate.
Take a paddleboat around the wooden stilts of our property. The calm water makes this an easy activity for anyone wanting a peaceful afternoon on the surface.
Take a short boat ride to this famous volcanic island. Follow the jungle trail up to the main viewpoint. The sweeping look over the turquoise lagoon below is unforgettable.
Local operators provide daily trips to the best surrounding marine parks. We can help arrange these outings during your stay.
This island features twin volcanic peaks rising high above the ocean. A wooden trail guides visitors through the forest up to a spectacular summit. From the top, you look down into a vibrant blue crater lagoon framed by a sandy bar. The climb is manageable for most people in under an hour. You must pay a park conservation fee to enter.
Speedboats reach Mataking in roughly 45 minutes. It features a fantastic house reef right off the main dock. Nearby, Timba-Timba reveals a beautiful long sandbar during low tide. Pom Pom provides excellent beach access alongside healthy corals. Operators frequently bundle these three spots together into one fantastic day trip.
This massive protected zone covers over 350 square kilometres. It shelters an immense volume of marine life including rays, turtles, plus rare fish. Excursions rotate through different snorkeling spots based on daily water conditions. You will experience shallow coral gardens perfect for floating lazily on the surface.
Mabul holds a global reputation for exceptional macro diving. The sandy bottom hides fascinating creatures like frogfish alongside blue-ringed octopuses. A large local community lives in wooden houses over the shallows here. Kapalai sits closer to Sipadan on a shallow sandbank. Both locations serve as excellent half-day trips from town.
Malaysia's premier diving destination rises straight up from the deep ocean floor. Only 120 people may visit daily due to strict government quotas. Tours leave early in the morning to maximize time on the water. Snorkelers often encounter massive schools of jacks alongside resting turtles.
The underwater terrain here is dramatic. Barracuda Point features massive swirling schools of fish riding the ocean currents. South Point drops away into the deep blue where larger predators occasionally cruise past. Coral Garden offers a shallower alternative packed with colorful reef life. You must dive with a licensed guide holding an official permit.
Travelers frequently combine different resort stays to see more of the region. A great itinerary includes hiking Bohey Dulang followed by a few nights over the water. Moving between islands is simple using local boat transfers. Make sure to finalize your Sipadan dates first since permits sell out fast.
